Don’t forget to come to our Christmas Festival this evening in the Community Centre in Brannon Way. There will be carol singing with the Salvation Army, charity stalls for those last minute gits, a superb raffle and a “name the dog” cuddly toy to win. There are free refreshments including hot mulled wine and mince pies.
If the weather is not too bad there will also be the highlight of the festival – the Roving Nativity Play – back by popular request – where you can follow Mary, Joseph and Capuccino the donkey down the high street and see baby Jesus in the stable. This is a timely reminder of what Christmas is really about.
All are welcome. Proceeds from the raffle will go towards next year’s Christmas Festival.
